Methods of Proving Your Identity have Changed!

更新日:2009年3月31日

The documentation requirements for confirming the identity of those making applications and submissions has been changed.

As of May 1, 2008, the method of confirming the identity of individuals applying to receive copies of residence certificates and family registers as well as those submitting family registers and changes in residence has been changed.

We recognize the extra trouble involved, but in order to avoid fraudulent applications and submissions, we would ask you to bring personal identification documents when you come to the application counter.

Method of Proving Your Identity

We would ask those individuals coming to the counter to bring with them both type 1 and type 2 identification documents in order to confirm your identity.

Note: We would ask individuals who do not possess the following identification documents to bring documents that no one but yourself could possess in order to examine and confirm your identity.

Type 1 Identification Documents

  •  Driver’s License
  •  Passport
  •  Basic Resident Registration Card with your photo
  • Official ID with your photo

Type 2 Identification Documents (either 2 items from Group A or 1 item each from Groups A and B)
